Install it
Run the installer, or the portable file if you would rather install nothing. It opens in the tray.

The program shows a short code. Sign in on the website and approve it — the program picks up its key on its own.

Use the FastDrive folder in your home, or pick any folder. Everything in it stays in step from then on.
Good to know
- Windows 10 or 11 and Linux, 64-bit. macOS is on its way.
- The Windows build is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may ask you to confirm the first time. Choose “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
- Nothing is deleted outright. A file removed on the web goes to a trash folder inside your synced folder; one removed on your computer goes to the drive’s bin.
- If the same file is edited in two places at once, both copies are kept — the second one is renamed so you can see it was.
- Vault folders are not synced by the program yet.
- Prefer a network drive to a synced folder? Standard plans can mount FastDrive directly in Explorer, Finder or Files — Settings → Devices on the web. Windows caps files over such a mount at 50 MB unless its own limit is raised; the program above has no such cap.
- Remove a computer any time under Settings → Devices on the web. It is signed out at once.
